Cori's Story

My passion for dog training started when I was about 10 years old. I spent hours watching dog training shows like Cesar Millan’s and researching different breeds just for fun after school. Since I wasn’t able to have a dog growing up, my favorite thing to do was visit the dog park or walk shelter dogs on the weekends in Los Alamitos.

At 17, I moved to Northern California with my dad. Adjusting was tough, and when I turned 20, a coworker offered me a Husky puppy. The moment I met her, I knew—I was completely in love. I wanted to give her the best life possible, one full of freedom and adventure. But everyone told me it wasn’t possible. “Huskies can’t be off-leash trained,” they said. That only made me more determined to prove them wrong.

By the time Bailey turned one, she was fully off-leash trained. She even started working with me at a hotel front desk, where I spent my downtime teaching her tricks and advanced obedience. When we moved back to Orange County at age four, she thrived. Together, we explored hiking trails, new cities, family homes, beaches, workplaces, and vacations. She became my partner in adventure, and our bond is the kind I strive to create between every client and their dog.

When Bailey turned five, we brought home a Belgian Malinois puppy and named him Duke. Little did we know that just months later, the world would shut down. During the pandemic, I immersed myself in training, studying experts like Tom Davis, Stonnie Dennis, Robert Cabral, and Michael Ellis. Every single day, whether at home or at the park, Duke and I worked on his high-level obedience. But when the world reopened, we faced a challenge—Duke was struggling with dog reactivity. I made him a promise: I would do whatever it took to help him. I reached out to a local training company, and when they met Duke and Bailey, they offered me a full-time training position. That opportunity changed everything. I learned how to not only help Duke but also other dogs and owners facing similar struggles. Since then, I’ve worked with countless reactive dogs, and I know firsthand how challenging—and rewarding—the journey can be.

Dog training became more than just my passion; it became my purpose. I’ve spent every day since working with dogs and continuing my education in both R+ and balanced training, ensuring I can create the right plan for every dog I work with. That’s why I founded Boundless K9—to help dog owners create a life with their dog that has unlimited possibilities.

Whether you're looking for a best friend to travel with or a loyal companion who can join your kids at sports games, beach days, and family gatherings—I’m here to help. There’s so much joy and fulfillment in having a well-behaved dog. Your quality of life drastically improves. Let me show you how!
